Can you have truck and car insurance on one policy??

As title really, Ill be getting a 3.5 ton truck in the new year and im undecided as to wether im keeping the car aswell, Would i be able to insure both on the same policy??..............If i kept the car.

 

My mate reckons you cant because you can only use your no cliams on one vehicle, Surely though all the people with multiple vans and cars dont have mulitple policys??

i have a fleet policy through trust but mine is for 5 or more vehicles but give them a call as they might be able to do something for two mate

I have a car aswell and the truck is on a differant policy, your mates are right you can only use your no claims discount agains 1 vehicle, also bear in mind the 3.5 tonner will be a commercial vehicle and your car isnt. my plant and truck is insured therough NFU for a very good price.

Some insurance companies will "mirror" you no claims on to a second vehicle so you can fast track you no claims onto your work truck. Allen and Allen broakers did it for my 1st truck

ring trust insurance, they'll sort you out, they do my PL, EL, PI & veihcle insurance, no one else could touch their prices

Same here, mines all with NFU though. Started with car and landy, now got two landys, car and ldv.

I have 3.5 tipper and a car insured by NFU. The no claims was certainly taken into account on both.

Truck with NFU, car with swiftcover who give an equivalent discount if you show proof of no claims discount but don't tie the no claims to the policy

Cheers guys im going with Trust, It will be truck only BUT they will mirror my no claims as long as i send them proof of my no claims on the car, Happy days, They were the cheapest by quite a bit
