Very easy to make up router jigs of any kind,I use plywood a lot or mdf when making one off stairs,What is it you lads would be looking to router into the slabs ???



It’s to flatten wide slabs that won’t go through a planer/thicknesser

Sorry just looked at the first posting and can see now,How accurate is you mill cutting now then andy ??

Cutting a lot better now. Only done the one log so far though. Still need to dial it in tomorrow though. Ran out of time today.

Real good blade you should be getting a real good cut and a good belt sander would be quicker and a far better job finishing off a nice slab.

Possibly initially yeah but what starts off as a good clean straight slab is not necessarily the same after a couple of years drying, The woodpecker kit is defo on the way too pricey for me side hence knocking up the ones in Ali. Hopefully they will be reasonably robust and do what’s required of them.

How much are you for a Belt Sander like yours?

To router a slab of any size is so time consuming though.
