Hi. Do you think there will be a drop in the firewood market due to ash dieback? Thoughts please
If anything there will be more ash being felled due to it. There certainly is around here!

I am prepared for a slump in sales for few years while ash from local farm hedgerows comes on the market but no sign of this yet with a bumper start to this season for us.

Huge increase in the round wood market ( including oversize ) round here . All three estates ( Goodwood , West dean and Cowdray )  Have been felling all road side and footpath ash so as not to be liable should there be an accident . I'm talking thousands of tons here .

  I have just extracted some from one of those estates. Are you looking for some in that area ?
