I got some of Myerscough’s literature through the post this week.

Anyone else think those kids deserve better head protection?

Indeed, I would have expected the country’s national centre of excellence to be up to speed on current “legislation”

i think its a chin strap issue, no?

 

No, its side impacted protection that the new thing, I believe.

 

The Husky hats in the link have chinstraps.

nope its the rating of the helmet for side impact, therefore husqvarna style helmets arent acceptable even with a chin strap

oh right , i was curious as i was chatting to a utilitty cutter from glendale and he was saying how they have all been bought petzel hats , he was saying thats its something to do with the hats now needing a 4 or 5 point harness system but to be honest it was the first i had heard of it

I agree both for the simple fact that they are safer and you don't know you are wearing one if its a good one. The huskies have had their hay day but are perfectly suitable for the ground
