I’ve been pondering about getting a battery saw to keep on the Logbullet, nice and easy to use and quick to start if I need to quickly nip a limb off or even fell a tree as most stuff I am working with is pretty small (first thinnings)

I've used the Husqvarna one, and found it reasonable. Having a quick browse about you can get the Oregon one with a 16 inch bar plus a 6.0ah battery plus a charger for around £360.

Anyone got any experience using one? I’ve always found Oregon stuff to be decent enough quality, but had never heard of their chainsaw range before.

I've been giving the Husqvarna 535 Li XP a run and it now has a full time place in the back of the jeep as it's great for setting out first thin racks etc. I get almost 2 hrs on the "save" setting felling and snedding with a 9amp battery. I was very sceptical of the chain it arrived with but it's proved far better than I expected !

Bill do you mean the 535?

Im a little confused at what’s what worth the Husky ones. Is the 535 the current top model or is it the 536? Can get the 536 on a package deal for £499, and the 535 for £565 ?

Bill is recommending the Makita DUC355Z I think.
