Self releasing after lowering

Hi guys, I've been looking and looking but I can't find anything that I could lower a branch with that would self release once its on the ground if I'm working on my own. The best I've come up with is a slip knot but it would require one rope with two lines. Is there a device for such a thing?

Sling the branch (biner on the sling), U or V lower, pull a clean end through the biner.

Neat idea, but there are no targets, so why are you lowering, just drop it ?

Also consider cut and chuck. You can still sling the pieces to get a good swing and release on them. Short lengths of rope with knotted tails are easier to release than getting a loop tape sling stuck on your hand.
