The effects of ageing - my word! Anyway, I've noticed my vision when driving at night although acceptable in optical terms is much different to when I was a spotty 17 year old with a new licence. I find oncoming headlights from the other motorway carriageway (for instance) particularly dazzling. There are not that many poorly levelled bi-xenon culprits yet so I assume my eyesight is at fault here. Point is, I once had some "yellows" for cycling and they were excellent at night - reducing dazzle and sharpening dull objects. Thus; can anyone reccommend similar - either from personal similar experience or eyewear knowledge? Many thanks...:001_smile:

Opticians pal, Have yourself an eye check and explain that too them :001_smile:

Nope, this I what I meant to say re being optically ok. Have had 3 different opticians give me extended eye tests over the last year, all of which report good vision that cannot and need not be improved. The reason was I used to get migrains and lost vision so went to Tesco Optician for a free eye test. The optician there reckoned laser surgery would revolutionise my vision. I knew he was talking crap so went to other 3 and confirmed my suspicion. I am currently suing Tesco.

I found yellows were ok till you met full beam lights. i use to wear them on the motorbike but stop because of this. if your sight seems to be fine it may just be tiredness and you are stugling to change focus.

Bare in mind that head lights are much brighter than they were when you were 17.

I know; electric lighbulbs are incredible. Such wattage output from those little things. Saves having to clear out wax from the headlamp globe.

I was in no way suggesting you were SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO old!!!:001_smile:

But halogen bulbs are MUCH brighter than older ordinary bulbs :001_smile:
