Warranty on Stihl chainsaw

Wondering if I was to buy a chainsaw from FR Jones would the warranty be valid at my local dealership If something was to go wrong ?

I'm in Aberdeenshire and buy from FR Jones, never had a warranty claim yet in 20 yrs, mind you I don't have any autotune type saws, so can fix them myself or send to spud.

You have to be realistic about this stuff.

 

You cannot be all pleased with yourself about saving 20/30 quid on a new saw and then moan when your local dealer is less than thrilled about fixing stuff on warranty.

 

Build a relationship with them, then when the shit hits the fan they will fix stuff there and then or give you a loaner.

Yes, well awake now Sometimes easier to look at buying saws as being like cars. You buy your Ford from your local dealer and ....move to a different area, who do you take it to....your local dealer where you moved to obviously. Shouldn't be an issue if the manufacturer is as they should be, customer focused!
