lol....

I always feel that we dont get enough, so whats new???

We didn't have to work in those conditions, but we decided to push on as we were still warm/dry...

I have a policy, work till you're wet.. then go home.

We actually called it a day early as our ropes were icing up. Couldnt get the friction hitch to bite.

Good for you for doing it, buts thats mental weather to be working in mathew, you should be in the house goo goo ga gaaing that new baby of yours that tree could have waited.

i know Mat(highland) and for the guys that dont, he has dragged himself up from nothing to live his dream of running his own business and looking after his family, he has done this through nothing but hard work. I have done the same, and i understand Gavins idea of free labour too. i was the same, i would do any job for next to nothing for years just to have a go and prove to others i can and mainly to myself. If you have ever spent a lot of time yourself in a crappy flat or bedsit with no money or food worrying about the future day after day, then the chance of hanging off a big tree with a shiny saw, in the fanciest arb kit on the market looking down on your wee brother dragging brash and your shiny new jeep in the snow is like winning the lottery imo, living the dream, earning a crust and putting food on the table. i have done the same and i bet most of us have too, but as you get older you should get wiser, hence why we are all getting old and soft sitting watching tv and drinking coffee on such a cold day:thumbup1:
