Hi guys just wondering if anyone uses the art positioner as a secondary climbing line? Can you ascend on it on its own ?

Currently using a zillion but want a rope longer that 5m for those branches higher than 2.5m up.

Cheers

Think the O.p is talking about using it as a climbing device on a secondary line, like I said because your using it with more loading the cam springs blow out a lot quicker than normal use .

You're better off having just a pinto and short hitch and a length of rope as a long lanyard or as a very short climbing line. Nothing else will really work as well IMO

Think you’d be better with a lock jack, that said I have a lock jack and do not get on with it.
