Made some quick shelves for the kitchen from some pippy elm I saved from a farmers firewood stash. Milled up about 5yrs ago. Yet to plug the screw holes. No oil or owt .

Dont worry, I got them out of scrap piles. And a unused morso frying pan!

No progress on truck for a while, insulated entire house though, so had that kinda distracting me.

Prefer the lighter look, less orangey. For comparison here is a pic of same boards oiled with tung

Thats beautiful. What about Danish Oil? Bit more neutral if you dont like the colouring in the last pic?
