is there an easy way of filling the small net bags, i have trired the bits of wood with the nails on to hold them open, and filling loosly on the pile is a nightmare, i am tempted to buy one of the bagging things from fuelwood, are they any good and how many can one man do in an hour, thanks:001_smile:

Stevie, we use a plastic dustbin cut in half lenth ways with the bottom edges rounded over, insert in bag when empty and start filling when nearly ful pull out and top up. we did 100 in about 5 hours, 1 man on it while i buggered off to do something more exiting lol.

Make a wooden box with bottom the same size as the bag. Fill box with logs put bag over the top all the way down, then turn over. Hey presto bag of logs.

we have got the fuelwood log bagging device, dont go there mate doesnt work unless you have 100% uniform logs we only use ours for bagging kiln dried kindling which it works well for.

Tried the wooden box idea but the logs tend to jam. Currently using a square traffic cone cut in half, just have to make all edges smooth so that it doesn't catch on the bags
