Hi all I run a small rural contracting business I have recently finished a forestry contract we’re u was driving a fowarder and a 14t digger with a grab I’m now thinking of buying a 1.5t digger with a fixed grab to assist other companies and my own and possibly get a chipper later on to do even more so but not sure whether I should take the plunge is there s maker for this thank you in advance

Hi 

Why not just get a 2.7 tonner legal weight to tow and far greater lifting capacity if buying second hand there isn't much difference in price and you'd maybe be better off with a grab rotator for the extra few quid makes moving materials easier you'd be better off posting in show us your arb diggers and Stephen Blair or LGP Eddie will be able to give you all the advice you need

I have a 1.5 ton yanmar fitted with a fixed grapple and i have a second grapple/log splitter attachment which i am thinking on selling and i have used it in my saw mill for the last year and what a tool .
