Autotune will adjust the amount of fuel to the saw, this makes up for any small inconsistencies such as 40:1, there are plenty of people who prefer this as opposed to the 50:1.

I don't now if A/T can tell if you are running 40:1 or 50:1  . What it will do is add or subtract air to the mix to suit ambient conditions , partially blocked air filters etc .   I call the mix the fuel .  That is oil + petrol/Aspen

If AT or MT could not adjust for different quality fuels, then it would be useless.

Thats all it is, a different amount of oil alters how the fuel burns, At or MT can indeed cope with this situation, randy evans uses nothing but 40:1 in all the saws he ports, that includes AT and MT systems, and thats good enough for me.

Both 40:1 and 50:1 can be the same quality , good or bad .  Are you saying it does not adjust the amount of air for a given situation ?

Am not talking about bad fuel, am talking only about 40:1 versus 50 in a saw that is capable of managing fuel in relation to rpm temperature and a few other parameters.

Am saying these systems can cope with the above.

You said " quality of fuel "  You miss led me .   I am saying it adjusts the amount of air to the mix ( 40:1 if you like ) to suit ambient conditions , altitude , temp , partially blocked air filter etc .
