No pictures im afraid, but there is an old oak stump on the side of the a47, just east of kings lynn. It's not the biggest, nor most striking standing deadwood I've seen but....it appears someone has marked it for a fell. I'm sure it's out of range of the road and is causing no harm, if even any good, what with a major industrial estate being nearby but it's a nice piece all the same.

 

It'll be a shame not to see it on my fortnightly runs any longer:thumbdown:

Couple of dead standing beech mono's with the usual suspects, G.applanatum, K. deusta and lots and lots of T.gibbosa and T. versicolor (albeit lying on the floor):001_tt2:
