To Sleeve or not to Sleeve this is the Question ?

               I am curious how many of you out there use these sleeves. 

I must admit having been to jobs in the past, to remove and replace many a rotten post. Invariable it`s nearly always just at ground level as to where they have rotted.

They do work for a fact IME. 

 

I've often wondered about using flashing tape as it's a lot cheaper. Dunno if it'd work properly though but can't see why not.

Soaked  them in a mix of creosote and old engine oil before . That works .
