What blower?

Not content with rakes, boards and oversized barrows, the other half now wants a blower ? for her birthday ? She spends most of the winter filling the compost leaves so she would use it. Already has muffs and big boots ?any recommendations for a lightish but zippy blowerplease?

Most of our kit is Stihl but we do have Husky and Makita too

What about mitox? For part time use there only £100 or so and supposed to be a good little handheld

I have one and it's perfectly good. Only use one for cleaning off the processor and it's survived a couple of years use and bashing around in the back of the truck. Seems a bit thirsty but can't compare it to other brands as it's my first one.

Funny, my missus gave me a blower for my birthday.. nothing to do with leaves though..

Jokes aside, if you have a stihl kombi head just get the blower attachment for that, i have one and its plenty good enough for regular use. 

Or maybe splash out on a battery powered one? Quieter, less hassle to start etc.

How does that compare to a bg85 out of interest? Planning on kitting myself out with the battery range for home

Comparing with a BG86 you will need a BGA100

The BGA45 is a domestic machine as opposed to the BGA100 is more commercial

don't need anything all too powerful for home. I still have my bg85 although its getting a little tired and I don't really plan on replacing it.

 

Does that little model take the pro batteries or the homeowner range? That would be the clincher

The entry model had a built in battery, so you just plug it straight into the charger. You get approx 10 mins of full power trigger time per charge.

I use this most days but with the battery back pack.
