woodchip off the logs or shreddings off the foliage?

I can ask someone that I might see today for their opinion.

Edit: Ha! yes any bugger can do that.

The person I might see works at a stables.

Cheers.  It would be a mix of the whole lot - timber and foliage.  Also wondered if not safe when green - would it then be safe once it's lost moisture?

I've tipped tonnes and tonnes over the years, so there would be a lot of dead horses about if it wasn't safe.

A stable lass once told me it was actually beneficial for their hooves, especially if they had laminitis.

She might just have been trying to chat me up, obviously.

Leylandii is perfectly safe for horses.
It would be handy to have a list of species that aren’t tho.
I’ll start it off with
Sycamore
Yew
Laurel
Cotoneaster
Any more?
What do people know about ivy? Some horse owners won’t have it and some say their horses enjoy eating the leaves and it’s harmless
