FC taught me a wide birds mouth abt hip height , then slot down the trunk then back cut - much quicker, but did have a few split trunks , then it was all fell tops together for a brash mat, forgotten . K

IIRC, it was a heavily leaning tree, so they couldnt neg rig it, so he stripped the crown and rigged it into 2 adjacent trees and lowered the entire stem in 1. Cut used to hold the stump in position along with the 2 guy ropes.
