You rebuilt using old fuel lines? Not got any pipes sucking in on themselves once temperature is up etc? 3 mins is perfect time for being just up to max temp.

It’ll go at full tilt all full of promise for 3 mins and then blurrrrrrr, instant off and then won’t start .
What's compression like after 3 mins? My money is on the coil like

Could it be the spacing between the coil and the flywheel ?

It starts lovely

Not likely but could be low compression . Once up to temp the clearances open to the point it wont support combustion . Did you do a compression check ?

You can double check the coil to flywheel gap or reduce the gap right down to the thickness of A4 paper and see if it has any effect.

Why do I bother!!!!

I had a MS460 once do exactly as yours, 5 mins and pop, it would stop and not start. The coil gap was just enough to spark when cold. When the coil warmed up, it would stop working. I adjusted the gap and bingo, still running 3 years later!

I did Bills 361 and found it had a dodgy coil that would work fine and the saw would idle well but it wouldn't rev past 7.5K and was like it was rev limited. I changed the coil and it worked fine.....until the new coil failed recently!

hope you get it sorted, love these saws got one at work that is over ten years old and i still choose it over the husky 560, similar cutting ability with out the god awful noise!
