These people are not from mars so rest assured mick your quite safe. Modern day dildos tend to be made from a more flexible sensual feeling material these days 😏

There's good money to be made in wooden ones. Have look on Google. A mate used to make them, as desired and a good price too!

So are they hobby woodworkers or pros?

Pretty much, you get the odd person who knows exactly what they want. Unfortunately my stock.is low now of dried stuff so only just trying to get underway again.

I bought a wagon load of timber, that chestnut, elm, big cherry butt, big hornbeam and some large wrc delivered for 200.

If the boards aren't any good there is probably a good two or three bags of logs in it. Anything else will be fine.

I can understand that (that you don’t care) but who are these people?

What is HC, a wood that traditionally is never used for anything, used for?

Bowls, table tops, dildos?

The whole chainsaw milling scene interests me slightly, but I still don’t know who the end users are.

The structural integrity of a slab doesn’t matter anymore because of epoxy resin.
It’s all about character.
Any rotten lump can now be made glass hard.
Big slabs and burrs are always desirable to table makers now.

When I was getting to know wood turning I made a but plug ( my nephew told me an eggcup I had made looked like one)
A friend of mine had been to school in Bath and there are a lot of stone acorn adornments on the buildings there. I gave him this wooden but plug as a present telling him I had made it specially for him to remind him of the buildings in Bath. He was really chuffed and keeps it on his desk at work.
