Yes but a customer looks at a 13T digger and says that's not coming in here or something more blunt.

i think you may of missunderstood what i was saying i was pointing out that a much larger machine on tracks has a very low ground pressure as compared to a small wheeled chipper i was not saying take a 13 tonne digger in some ones garden but the small tracked barrow/skip loader that you or someone else mentioned would do less damage to a lawn than 2 or 3 guys carrying log out .

I total understood what you meant, my wheeled loader runs on wide turf tyres, my landy 130 runs on tyres 11" wide to get across lawns wide foot print is best.

a keeper i was talking to on thurs has just swaped his landy wheels from some wide ones to standard ones because his boss would not replace the tyres and just swaped wheels of a dead landy in the yard on to his, and what a F - - - - - g mess he said its making and its not that wet yet,

DSC_3004.thumb.jpg.9d26edf922f70d5e5567aabc0e5226eb.jpgMTX + EMR + BMF = Chips and good heating for my old swedish farmhouse.

I've run this setup, chipper hung onto the ag tractor and fed with the grapple loader, for a year and find it a very versatile solution.

DSC_2994.thumb.jpg.1b4a684d00b575ea43323cf94a81a76e.jpgThe chips are blown into an old 3 cubic metre diesel tank which has had the lid opened up, and fits more or less OK to transport shorter distances on the pallet forks of the front loader, some 2,5 ton in total if the chips are green/wet.

If I was to run this contraption on public roads I assume some changes would have to be made to the trailer/tractor tow bar but nothing mayor that some welding rods cant take care of.

What would you lot recon is the best chipper to get rid of conifer with little snedding, got a timberwolf 150 so most of you would say anything is better then that.

what springs do u have on ur 150......when i had a 150 i put 190 springs on it....made a big difference...a bit  fiddlely to put 1 side on...had to loosen drive pump  to fit it on then tightened up
