Are there likely to be any good deals at the show or has the internet destroyed that?  I miss the good old days

i'm sure you'll find the odd one about.  Chainsaws are likely to be as just as you'll get them.  Thats usually the case at the shows, with the 3 or so main dealers all competing for sales on the bigger items, perhaps looking to make up their losses on sundries.

Thats good. I went once on a Saturday (years ago , Lockerbie I think) and it was pretty much winding down from dinner time on

Just got back,

A BIG thanks to @stihlgb

and the guys n gals at the APF.

Stihl very kindly let me have a go with their new saws.

Stihl 462

Both 25" bars in ash.

The 462 is fast and smooth, but the surprise was the 500i.

It didn't feel as quick, but the torque almost pulled the log stand over.

Both saws seemed lighter in weight also.

But these were an unexpected sight.

Quite ridiculous.

Love it

 

Logosol were also there and this is their new farmers mill (f2).
