There's top soil and there is top soil. It'll most definitely be fill soil. Lowest quality dirt there is,, and 6 inches.. he'll be lucky.

Cooling down now thankfully. 18 in County Durham

Not tried shorts as I’d be nibbled scratched and stung but use chaps with v thin hiking trousers when too hot for my usual trousers

You in Oz? I see there’s a drought there

I am in WA.We don't really get  drought up here.Just a dry season when it doesn't rain and a wet season when it rains sometimes and is terribly hot . 

The proper drought is more than 3500 klm away in NSW and Victoria
