From what I can see £300 would be lowand  £1000 would be high, but it depends on so many factors like length of drag, parking, access width, grind etc. it’s best to get someone to look at it.

How did you get on, what was the tree surgeons prognosis and more importantly what did he quote.

Sadly 4 out of 5 of the tree surgeons who came round recommended taking it down ?

 

Quotes were £500-£800. Not as much as I thought they would be.

I'm intrigued what the 5th chap said - reduce heavily and hope for the best? Can't see it surviving long term but could be a way to keep some shade while you establish replacements nearby?
