I asked on the forum about these chains a little while ago, people using them are enthusiastic about the cut speed. The Sugi bar was recommended over the Oregon narrow gauge because it's less fragile. I'm not sure about pinching but do believe the thinner bars are easier to bend.

Does that mean ANY sugihara bar? Thinking maybe I should just stick with the lpk chain unless there are big advantages of running the txl
Hey whiplash1, what size saw and length bar are you planning on running the chain on? Oregon speedcut txl does cut significantly quicker (especially when ripping!), but i was using it on my husky 560 with an 18" bar and it wore both the bar and chain very badly in a short period of time! But for anything 50cc and down i would certainly recommend it.
Any .325 pitch .050 gauge bar is narrow kerf, as standard gauge for .325 is .058
PS, sugi bars are awesome, and rob d at chainsawbars.co.uk is the only person to buy them from!

Will be running this on a 346xp and 18" bar, rob emailed back saying it would run it fine. What made it wear the bar and chain so fast? Also didn't know any .325/.050 is narrow kerf? Running the lpx chain now, would the txl be the better option here? Thanks for the help

my 550 xp  and 346 xp has the sugi bar on it BC3U-0J37-A and runs the 95 txl .325 050 and have had no issues so far, i went onto the sugihara website and searched your part number and it doesnt match  but the first section shows up  but the 0j doesnt  and with the 45  being 18 inch bar, there is no hv at the end of the part number all the bars are A at the end , so can you confirm it again ? its not showing on their site
