Hi all, new member here with an old ? but could use your expertise!

I currently have some oregon type c trousers, but they are heavy, hot and too bulky for me to get waterproofs over.

Have been tempted by the stihl advance or hiflex ones, both class A as i dont climb, also got shown some oregon ones that are supposedly waterproof.

What does everyone think - i dont wear them everyday so wont get trashed too quick i hope! so dont mind spending that bit more for ultra nice ones

Thanks everyone

Stihl HiFlex A or C all the way. At the moment C is cheaper at around 130 mark if you do the usual online searches Jones / HB. I had the big heavy type for a while but soon moved to these love them .

SIP ultrafit are hard wearing, Stretchy and quite light. They are a bit tight on the legs but I think this helps keep them from getting snagged on to many things. I have worn my pair for over a year and they are still going. They have the standard SIP gaypride stitching which unfortunately does attract the occasional cottager.

The new SIP Type A Progress trousers are really popular with groundies. They've got a Teflon coated outer fabric providing water, dirt and oil resistance and have a 4 way stretch fabric for comfort. Don't know if anyone on here has them to pass comment, but the feedback so far has been good. :001_smile:
