I doubt that. Such a large operation wouldn't buy in tonnes of softwood if they weren't going to promote it. Hardwood prices are crazy expensive and running low.

I burn it all! If it's dry and wood it burns. I'd never sell Leylandii but I keep it for myself and it's fine! heats the house and hot water, just need to feed the fire a bit more often.

I agree with GazN, we use all the leylandii we cut ourselves and its great burning, also leylandii is perceived as low value wood so clients usually happy to see it go off site, free burning for me.
