When your in need of a small Stump Grinder for those awkward back garden jobs, you know the ones i mean with the little 13 Hp engine. Which do you find to be the best?

i've used 2. the small rayco which i beleive is 13hp, and the 20hp ram who are bust now i believe but is basically the same as the danequip. the 20hp is obviously heaps better and id only use the 13hp again if i reall yhad no other choice. you can literally get the 13hp one anywhere though!!

have you looked at the alpine grinders?

Ive got a husqvarna SG13 for small stumps (well upto 2.5ft diameter)..The largest ive ground down with it was an 8ft beech stump though that was mad as i spent half a day with it running non stop. ..now I just hire in for bigger/mulitple stumps

As long as the teeth arnt too rounded off its pretty quick for a small machine grinding down 1ft conifers in minutes

The Alpine magnum is unbeatable for that kind of work. Will blow a 12" conifer stump out of the ground faster than you can get a bigger grinder off the trailer.
