Ply in rain

What MS and Stubby said. WBP used to be Birch ply years ago - what they sell in 90% of places now is absolute rubbish.

Marine ply is specific species hardwood bonded with top end waterproof adhesive, nothing to do with seawater.

Phenoloic ply is the best there is.

Get what you pay for and I prefer to do the job properly once, as labour is not free even if it's yourself.

Arctic tipper bodies are lined with a pretty thick gauge of what they call teflon liners for easy slip action of ballast, be it stone/coal/plastics/glass etc whatever they are hauling, these last about 3yrs in the haulage industry but to you guys would last a lifetime. Awesome stuff but is expensive like marine ply. Cant remember the actual name for it but can find out.
