Picus tests, something new for me

Had sorbus out for the day teaching us how to use the Picus.  Quite a lot to take in and will take a few trees to get fluid in its use.  Quite interesting to see if the tree is what you predict it will be.

I saw Picus being done on a tree I manage, I was surprised how fiddly it all was and how long it took to set up. Great to see inside a tree though.

How much for the full kit?
Can you see internal burring?
Would be very useful when buying big milling logs.

not sure on the price, not cheap though.  Im not sure about the burring, doubt it, wouldn't have thought so.  @David Humphries might be able to answer that
