Ringing in the ears.

Been chainsawing all day today. I am now sitting in my chair and all i can hear is a ringing in my ears never had it before but it is loud and constant. I think this must be the end i need an office job:001_smile:

Do you have the ear defenders that offer better protection or just the standard jobs??

 

I changed to the better ones a while ago and they are sooooooooooo much better

a get it all the time its a build up of ear wax go to your gp and get it checked out they just flush my ears out and after a couple of seconds you'l feel like you've got hearing of a sixteen year old:thumbup:

I had wax in my ears a few years ago and the doc said if you get it again use olive oil.

That does sound like tinitus, or could be a temporary thing if your ear defenders aren't up to the job. If it persists, ie if its still ringing in the morning, go see the Quack and get referred ASAP - tinitus can be a long term issue.

Ive had this for a few years now . Sleep times the worst I have to go to sleep with the ipod shuffle as the music helps drowned the ringing out . Or a few shots of Rum

If it tinatus, be careful has been known to drive people mad... (and to suicide) so get checked out.. upgrade ear protection or ensure your current ones are ok. often chinstraps and i'll fitting helmet/visor/defender selection can mean your not getting the full protection required. hope its just ear wax had the problem myself so years ago got them flushed out by a very pretty nurse and never had an issue since... good luck
