Great article.Climbing kit is entirely personal and you see every concievable combination out there but the harness is like a favourite chair.I still have my Willans T22 somewhere (Full body).Had a couple of Weavers then a couple of Tree Austria and settled on a Sequoia for the last few years.Fantastic pictures by the way.

Weavers were made by the Amish fr cart horses ! My first was GQ Parachutes harness - dear god K

I've still got my GQ. Was marginally more comfortable and definitely lighter than the Willans we all started out with back in the day.
Thankfully my climbing days are long over.

I looked in horror at the Weavers ! Like some bondage fantasists idea of a harness . GQ made the first leg-loops one after the standards changed - it were not aweful but my Petzel AVAO is my choice now . K

Willans T22 is all I have ever tried . Thankfully Isaac Newton keeps me on the ground for ever now !

Wow I remember looking at the Weaver and thinking what a horrible rigid instrument for medieval torture. I knew an hour in that would terminate my tree career.

Funny now you've mentioned it, been married 22 years, no kids ! I only looked in the catalogue- never tried one on . Is that voodoo or something?
