What rope do you use the zillion with?  The oversized petzl one it ships with?


I’ve never got on particularly well with the supplied Petzl stuff, although it’s quite firm it doesn’t seem to be very durable. I’ve been through two so far. I spoke with the Petzl rep about using other rope brands with the Zillon and he said Petzl don’t recommend it (!?!) the replacement rope is very expensive.
I use a Marlow gecko split tail with mine and it’s perfectly fine (obviously)
It doesn’t come with a rope diameter rating on the device itself (like the ZZ at 11.5 - 13mm).

I use tachyon with mine. Much better than the Petzl one imo. I’ve also put a DMM swivel on it and it’s transformed it
Thinking about getting the Zillon and pairing it off with one of those new DMM swivels, what do you think? Sound.

Dont get a zillon...art positioner with the swivel option is miles better.
