So you mean there is a place for custom splicing? It's a shame that there are dark forces out there that don't agree:sneaky2:

 

If you are thinking of learning to splice rope please get some instruction if you can, you wouldn't climb on a incorrectly tied attachment knot and the same applies to an eye splice, if it is not spliced correctly it could fail.

Just an update on the new ropeguide. Ive been using it most of this week and it works a treat!!

Had a little trouble with retreival to start with. The cocoon kept catching and geeting stuck. So i added some shrink tubing onto the sling as close as possible to the cocoon and hey presto. The added stiffness of the tubing helps to flick the pulley through the eye:thumbup1:

 

No problem's with the wire thats inserted into the eye. Keeps its shape no problem(by the way im not talking 5mm straining wire!! haha)
