Hi everyone.

 

i want to get myself an adjustable friction saver and know theres at least a couple o different gadgets on the market. the treemaginers multisaver and the art rope guide look like the best examples. which ones better?

Both good for the price, some people dont like the zero friction effect of the pulley, but if that appeals to you and you can afford it, go for the rope guide.

Only use the rope guide to be honest mate. The Multisaver doesn't have a pulley in the system so it depends what you're after TBH. I'd go towards the Ropeguide personally.

I use the treemagineers mulitsaver, £36 as opposed to £180 for the ART cambium saver, whilse it is nice to have a pulley in the system to reduce the friction in the climbing line, it is not the end of the world, cannot see the point/or justify £180

Pretty expensive though with two revolvers, getting on for the same price as a Coccon I dare say?

 

Also I really dont like dropping biners, ever, and putting a retrieval line in every time kinda sucks.

How does the treemagineers multi-saver work? i cant see how its any more efficient than a standard two ring cambium saver?

 

As far as I can see it isn't. Its just adustable for smaller stems.:001_smile:
