Thanks for the replys and infornation. Weights not a huge issue as I've got a smaller chipper so could use that when traveling a long way or in tight spaces. Only one feed roller might be a problem though as I have used tw150 and simular and quite like the way they can crush arkwardly shaped branches. Which I'm not sure a single roller will be able to do?

I would avoid a single roller, I had one (a tracked Timberwolf) and it was pants.

manufacturers don’t go to the effort and expense of putting two rollers on for nothing.

I remember an old Vermeer my dad used to have that was single roller, you have to double up on the springs to get them to grip anything

Yip, had a vermeer with a single and timber it was brilliant but conifer or thorn it just chewed at and annoyed me.
Not fancy a lovely vertually as new st8 at a big discount off new to really deal with some stuff as my one is still for sale [emoji56] can't blame a bloke for trying

Surprised that hasn’t gone already TBH.

Maybe you should have been a little more circumspect describing its problems [emoji4]
I'll be quite honest and tell anyone the problems we have had and the reason it's now basically a new machine with all the upgraded parts fitted rather than the substandard machine we were 1st sold, if I hadn't needed a bigger higher volume machine I'd still be happily running it. None of the problems were individually a major thing and apart from 1 never stopped us working it was the way it was dealt with by persons I believe are no longer with the company that really got me going.
