anyone know there stuff with hydraulics and hiabs

Hi,

 

Looking to mount a hiab to a trailer seller says i need a pto or donkey engine would a hydraulic power pack work or hydraulic pump like below all the controls and legs are included that hes selling just no pump..

does it come with a hydraulic tank and hoses etc if it doesn't the power pack at the bottom of your list will be your best bet as it will contain its own relief valve it will be a neater setup but a bit heavier

no it doesnt come with any tank not sure about hoses

Got a mate who is looking to shift a HIAB017 complete with legs and a brand new Honda power pack to go with it. Couple of pics included not the best but you get an idea.

1st question to ask.......what are the flow requirements and working pressure of the hiab.....then start from there

try and avoid the 12v pack I got one on mine and it gets VERY hot if you make it work, im on my second.

 

Get PTO version, I'll be changing mine to PTO once its out of warranty. if you talk to your van company they will have a kit for the gearbox to mate it to an off the shelf pump.
