Bought the foot ascender and pretzl zigzag.

This also meant i had to buy 135 ft of 11.4 non spliced rope of course and a caribenar that fits the zigzag....

Question is.... zigzag on right hand I'm right handed. Foot ascender on right or left foot. I'm right footed but I feel left would be better.

the foot ascenders are sold right or left, i have right and if dabbling with srt the haas knee ascender goes on the left.

I know full well that the best prussik climbers could show me up, but I like pampering myself. Try a pulley and tape sling on a wrist thickness top anchor. Obviously it wont retrieve like a pulleysaver/ropeguide, but you can try frictionless climbing.

Forest boy, you have fancier climbing kit than me! I think you need to spend time learning how to be efficient, which comes from experience mostly. Working with other climbers is good too as you see how they do it and learn from them. Hope you are enjoying it. J.

I am but my shoulder is keeping me awake at night with pain. That aside....

dunno what frictionless climbing is. If it's climbing a rope by hand, then yes I can do it for about 30 ft but then I need to lay back on a limb and smoke a doobie snack.

Me too. I;d rather work clever and be able to smash the Mrs the moment I walk through the door.

A pulley for the doubled rope instead of a fork or cambium saver. Like Mick says a good triple ladder will have you up to maybe 25ft easy, not that little pensioners one on your trailer

I will be working with other climbers but this big job I was let down so I decided to walk the walk. Glad I did! I really  like this I find it intuitive and am looking forward to doing more of it.

Nope cos.....

A- I had a 2 hour round trip to buy my foot ascender and zigag and then i realised I had no ropes small enough to fit the pretzl zigzag, nor withtout x 2 spliced eyes so nope cps I had another 2 hour trip to remedy the issue.

Also my emails and website have gone down inexplicably so 3 hours of phone calls to still have no website or email communication in the dead of winter.

But don't worry Mick on Monday  you can cast your cast your eyes over my work in HD quality.
