Is efco chainsaw any good?

I think (could be wrong)  efco and oleo Mac are the same saw. Not sure if they've changed recently but the 962 was a great saw for occasional use when we ran them 5-10 years ago. 

 

They're not as nice to use as a husqvarna of course but we never had any issues.

First saw I ever bought was an Efco 4100 , have it 8 years. Still gets used for small firewood and roots with a 12” powersharp bar. What are you gonna use the saw for?

Il Be using it to cut fire wood up, usually cut around 5 to 10 ton a year, at the moment I have a stihl ms 362, it’s been a brilliant saw but it’s on its last legs now so looking to get a new one

I have an old Dynamac DY41 (had it since before internet days) made by Efco/Oleo Mac. It still starts and runs well although I replaced it as it was unreliable but then resurrected it with a carb kit when I found out about repairing saws (and emptying fuel out for storage) and cheap ebay bits.
