Check with your local highways as they might do street works training my local council does Derbyshire it only lasts for 3 years as well I did my first coarse at Sheffield construction college as ben Edmonds has said you would only need the signing lighting and guarding section as the rest of the coarse covers excavation backfilling and reinstatement of the highway. If its something you will need on a regular basis then go for it but I would check with some of the traffic management companies how much they charge per day for such work there seems to be a lot more companies doing it now so prices may have come down
