Pole Pruner's?

the old corona pole pruner comes in handy for apple trees or sticking out tips on reductions.......take your time with them and you can get perfect cuts to nodes every time.

havnt used a silky pole saw or power pruner for years do quite fancy a decent silky pole saw though

i own both a stihl petrol and silky 4.9m. i love the silky for dead wooding whilst in the tree. the stihl doesn't see much action though. im after a ratceting head for the silky pole now.

Silky Pole Pruner - used it lots - final pruning cut is not a problem as long as you cut 'bit by bit'

How about the AUS fibreglass pole sets for line clearance, absolutely knackering to use when you've yomped across 3 ploughed fields, got a line of oaks to nip back with 5 poles to get the reach!! Horrible things, flex all over the place too!

i mean a silky one when i say i use one in the tree. using a powered on is just lazy. and stupid.

Which Silky pole saw is everyones favourite?

 

I like the telescopic Zubat myself, good reach and light enough to use in the tree.

Hayauchi with 2 extensions - 16' at full height - This is big enough for me.

If you go for the 3 extension version its touching 21' at full extension (plus your own height) and its rather like fly fishing with J.R. Hartley!
