Honestly I don't look at stitching often....i really should though.

I do krabs when the stop clicking shut properly. Tend to notice this quickly.

Check rope and friction cord often nearly daily

should be before every climb, once a week and six months for your loler. the once a week should be a recorded kit inspection.

a different question is how often does it actually get done.

Honestly- less than i should, but more than never. To be fair ive just got spankin new kit so chances of a failure in my kit are pretty low.

Does anyone still do those ticky boxes weekly check sheets?

Literally had thousands in our office at one point

mines closely monitored every climb and recorded mentally.

As the end user its in my best interest to keep an eye on my kit.

That said my lanyard snap has been sticking for ages, but it's spliced on so not easy to replace.

id say i throughly check mine once a month ish depending on how much i use it or job type, should really do it more regularly though.
