Hi, no the oil wasn't there on the chasis, and i even showed him the chasis. It wasn't caked in crap and it wasn't squeeky clean, but there definatly wasn't any oil. The uj wasn't making any noise at the time of sale, but i have been caught out with these before coming home from work etc. He was getting quiet heavy on the phone. Now i'm quiet an easy going man, but anyone whos been up to my house or knows me, will have seen military photos here, there and everywhere, and lets just say you don't get a maroon beret for being a teddy bear! I'm not saying i'm going to kick his head in, its just that were expecting our first child as my wife is heavily pregnant so its an emotional time and i could do without this stress! Now i've offered to pay for the uj's, oil and oil filter out of the goodness of my heart. I'm hoping he isn't a chancer but i do seem to give everyone the benefit of the doubt, but to be honest i wish i'd never sold it! Oh well you live and learn!

I can sympathise with both sides, but surely when you buy a used Landrover it is gonner come with some baggage! You behaved properly in that you did not hide anything and the buyer looked at everything, so, what is his problem, you took the right line and offered to cough for some bits but surely he cannot thjink he is getting away with it? Stick to your guns fella and don't send him owt or give in to owt!

Good luck with the pregnancy, trying times for all.
