Kew gardens visit

Off to Kew gardens tomorrow for the first time(shocking I know), and am wondering how long as I should allow to get round the place?  Hoping to do Windsor castle at the same time.  Bit optomistic?

Minimum of a long day needed to see Kew half properly; I've been there four or five times and find new bits every visit  To do both in the day will mean a supersonic whizz round each which would be a bit pointless surely.  If you only have one day make a choice.

i live 10min away from windsor castle and can tell you that you need two or three visits of that alone to see it in all its glory so i think you need to re-jig your days to see the pair at their best...

Allow an hour to find a parking space!?!

You could do a 'tourist visit' in 4 hours amd briefly see it all. For a proper look around I'd take most of the day. Wet and windy in London today though, might be luckier tomorrow.

There is a nice (a bit expensive) pub called the botanist nearby. Decent ales amd food. I'd suggest Hampton Court Palace would be a better place to combine it with as it's only a short drive between them
