Ifor williams tipper

Looking to buy a tipper. Anyone selling any ? What size tipping trailers do you guys use to deliver logs ? Help appreciated rob

I run a Ifor William 8x5 tipper for log deliveries and other tree work when need to move a lot of timber, easy to get in to drive ways and turn round.

Any ideas how much wood m3 wise is in a load and what you charge please ? I use a  7x4 ifor at the moment for loose loads I charge 85 up to the normal sides or 150 up to the top of the mesh sides. So I suppose would need to be 100 or just over for 8x5 loads ? Rob

It s about 3.5 m3 with mesh sides.

Hi what is a driver cpc and does it make any difference as to what  you are towing the trailer with .E.G small 4x4 with gtw below 3.5 tonne

been covered in many previous topics.

when you are delivering logs to a third party it is "for hire and reward".

also check your vehicle insurance.

what vehicle it is   is irrelevant.

get legal.................

I already know my insurance is okay as I haul farm machinery for people too.

You do not need cpc as driving is not your main occupation. Also there is a tacho exepmtion for X amount of milesd from base
