when they land on my doorstep mate they will go straight to work, dont you worry. I have a big slippy beech to reduce next week and it will most probably be pouring as usual and it is in a very exposed site, so i will give them a run for their money:thumbup1:

Try the free ones from the petrol station, they are waterproof. As for the warm thingy, try rubbing deep heat onto the back of your hands before putting gloves on, works a treat!

I rub surgical spirits on my hands most nights . It has stopped them cracking . Mind you they aint half rough . I cant climb with gloves on .But on the ground I have found that the heavy duty marigold type with felt lining quite good . Only had the two tone blue ones aint wearing no pink stuff .lol

The Irwin gloves are the absolute DB's. Last a couple of months, very flexable, very snug fit, Neoprene / pigskin construction, double layered in high wear areas.

Do these come in any size but Large or ex-Large? My mitts are medium. Perhaps they're stretchy enough to be one-size-fits-all...?

Best price I've found so far is £8.50 +VAT for the 'Heavy Duty Jobsite's.

i am fed up with cold sore hands and crapy wet rubber gloves. Is there any light weight gloves out there that are warm, waterproof and you can open and shut carabiners with them and not get them wrapped around your friction hitch. thanks:001_smile:
