work gloves

This is very important to me too, 'cos I've got that Reynauds Syndrome thingy and my fingers go white and useless when cold.

Where do you get the Irwin gloves Ed?

Like the sound of the yachting gloves, but at what price?

Are Sealskins any good?

I have a cracking pair of battery powered gloves, but you can't actually do anything whilst wearing them!

Spent last winter shoving those throwaway heat pads into the more thermal grippy rubber/string back gloves, which worked most cold days.

If it was cold and wet I went home.

Had a pair of neoprene fishing gloves that worked well while fishing, had lots of grip, dexterity and did keep your hands warm. You could peel back the thumb and forefinger tips.

Lost them before I had a chance to climb in :blushing:

I hate the cold and the wet even more, but also dont like wearing gloves, probably because I have never bought the right ones!

mark my mum has reynaulds and i am sur ei have too, my feet are freezing and my hands are worse, they look dead if i am not moving about, but once i get going i can work in the cold and wet all day but its the initial start up, i think doing so much more chipping with gloria isnt helping , your hands get so much more abuse with a gravity chipper

If you speak to Jason Clark at BTS ART (01449 720330) he has just started to import a massive range of work gloves called ox-on. I've been trying out two pairs the first Ox-on dark, are v good and stay grippy in the wet unlike the majority of rubber gloves. The only problem and its the same with most gloves is they wear out quite quickly. The cost isnt to bad either. The second pair are more expensive but are lasting alot longer. cant remember the name of these but Jason will be able to tell you.

I bought a pair of those from a show years ago, from what I remember they were nice climbing gloves. Have tried but could never find anyone who sells them.

Do BTS have a web site?
