Advice open barn

Need some advice I have a large open barn i.e. Roof and just metal stations to sides its ideal for drying wood but down side is rain at angles comming to wet wood etc

 

Has anyone used say the green scaffold netting before and is it any use to keep rain out?..i.e. Does it hit netting the run down netting?

 

Looking for cheap ideas to stop rain etc?!

Could you just keep your logs well inside the barn?

I don't think it would. I live in an old house with old sash window. On windy days I can experience a 4 knot headwind walking down the hallway

I would think netting would work to stop some of the rain, the problem would be getting it secured so it doesn't get ripped off by the wind, I don't think it's going to be a cheap option and as soon as a corner comes loose it will start flapping and you are going to be sad when you see it ripped.

Might be cheaper long term to put a side on the barn.

It is like gale braker, used on cattle sheds

Debris netting would be better than nothing, but ideally put some sides on the shed. 6" boards, 1" gap

Was thinking heavy duty croc clips like you see on market stalls and grip metal girders and netting and pherhaps wrapping it double round each metal station /support gurder

Plus to enclose three sides with planks would cost a mint as its massive open barn

I had an old Dutch barn years ago. I hammered in scaffolding poles to secure pallets which I made a wall 3 high with. Worked pretty well, looked crap though

Have used the scafolding mesh before and it works

 

To secure bolt 4x1 onto each leg pull netting tight and nail 1x1.5 batton ovet the top so it spreads rhe load as much as possible
