Does anybody have a risk assessment/method statement for using a mobile sawmill? I am just trying to cross the t's and dot the i's for work on council land where they have felled the trees and we are going in to mill the timber.

Many thanks.

Check your insurance, I had to have a "special" add on.

They said extra £600

a year for milling. I explained it was safer than felling and they stuck it on for free. [emoji106]

Arborisk, they advertise on this website.

As far as risk assessments for the council, how far do they want you to go?

Is there plant working on site or other stuff like sssi's?

If the trees have already been felled it is less risk.

I am interested in what you will need, please post any progress.

check with your councill, if they have an arb crew, you should be able to tweek there risk assesments and method statement, just be aware that sometimes councills ask for higher than normal amounts on the public liability insurance, i.e. 10mil instead of the normal 5mil, have also known them to ask for proffesional indemity
